Coastal Cars, a Dorset-based independent used car retailer, has undergone a refurbishment programme and rebrand.
Launched in 2005, Coastal Cars has dealerships in Poole and Ferndown. The rebranding exercise has taken a ‘360 degree approach’ to cover various elements, from a website revamp and showroom refurbishment to a logo redesign and new-look staff uniforms.
The innovative new user-friendly website, www.coastalcarsales.co.uk, has been designed by specialist automotive web developer, Starkwood Media Group, to complement the dealerships new re-brand and highlight the wide range of used vehicles and services on offer at coastal. The website has a responsive design to provide the best viewing and interaction experience across a wide range of devices, from desktop computers to mobile phones.
To coincide with the website going live, the new logo and brand colours of black, orange and grey have been incorporated on showroom facades as well as new-look staff uniforms. Both showrooms have also undergone a revamp to create a refreshed and welcoming environment for customers.
William Monro-Smith, manager at Coastal Cars, says: “This is our first design refresh since the firm was established 11 years ago and we are delighted with the finished results. The visually powerful website marks a dramatic leap forward in terms of Coastal Cars’ online user experience.
“Our company objective is to provide an excellent level of service to our customers; giving them peace of mind and product satisfaction when purchasing one of our used vehicles or entrusting us with service, MOT and repairs. Our comprehensive new look reflects this quality and professionalism while providing a welcoming experience.”
The dealership operates used car sales in both the Poole and Ferndown showrooms. The Ferndown dealership also incorporates a six bay workshop for service, repair and MOT tests on all vehicle brands and models.

Coastal Cars, a family-owned car dealership with premises in Poole and Ferndown, has appointed William Monro-Smith as its new general sales manager.
William, who started in August, manages a 15-strong team across the two locations which include sales staff, service technicians, administration and drivers.
Coastal Cars offers private car sales at its Poole dealership and a fully-equipped service department, workshop and showroom at its Ferndown premises.
William has dedicated his career to selling cars which has seen him manage showrooms for Mercedes and Renault. In his own words, William was a car salesman before he got his driving license in his teens. He said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have started my role at Coastal Cars. I have a huge respect for the already successful family firm and I’ve inherited a fantastic team which is dedicated to providing excellent customer service.”
Originally from Woodford Green, Essex, William relocated to the area for the role. He added: “I’m loving life on the south coast. It’s a lovely area to live and work and compared to the aggressiveness you can find at London dealerships, the people here are so calm and friendly.”
John Corderoy, owner at Coastal Cars is confident William can expand and improve on the independent dealership’s already solid reputation. He said: “I’ve known William for many years and he is an excellent salesman and manager. I’m looking forward to seeing him build upon the motivation and spirit of the staff.
“Around 75 per cent of our customers are locals who return to us to update their vehicles or to purchase cars for family, so it is important that we could find a manager that our customers can trust.”
Cars can be purchased outright, with a finance option or part exchange. Customers who buy a car from the dealership will receive a six month warrantee and 63-point vehicle check. Coastal Cars offers vehicles suited to all price ranges and all cars are listed on the website www.coastalcarsales.co.uk
