Mayor of Poole visits care home residents on Care Home Open Day

Staff and residents at luxury Poole care home The Lindsay marked Care Home Open Day with a special visit from the Mayor of Poole, Cllr Xena Dion.

Care Home Open Day is celebrated nationally to recognise the great things that care homes do all year round.

The day of celebrations was themed ’90 years of fashion’ in honour of the Queen’s birthday. Staff dressed in their favourite decade’s fancy dress and put on a fashion show for the residents. Music was provided by Paul Spencer and the residents enjoyed afternoon tea.

John Yeoman, managing director of Primetower Care, the company which runs The Lindsay care home and The Links in Broadstone, said: “Our staff work tirelessly all year round so it is fantastic to have a special day where care homes around the country unite in celebrating the valuable difference they make in the community.

“Celebrations always go down very well at our care homes and we were absolutely privileged to have the new Mayor of Poole, Cllr Xena Dion, visit our newest care home.”
