Christchurch-based Apple Home Improvements is launching a new ‘Veranda’ product to help homeowners cope with the changeable British weather.
As well as providing shelter from unseasonal showers, this versatile product can be used as a car/caravan port, patio and walkway cover.
The Veranda creates an attractive outdoor entertainment area and the canopy is available in a choice of clear, bronze and opal panels. Being constructed from powder-coated aluminium with shatterproof glass panels, the product is virtually indestructible but Apple provides a ten year guarantee for customers’ peace of mind.
Andy Downes, operations manager at Apple Home Improvements, says: “Since its official launch at the Garlic Festival, our new ‘Veranda’ product has already produced an unprecedented amount of interest and sales enquiries.
“As it only takes a day to install, our customers can be enjoying all the benefits of this attractive addition to their homes in no time at all.”
Founded in 1998, the south’s leading home improvement company has a current product offering of windows, doors, conservatories, fascias, solar energy, soffits and guttering.
Christchurch-based Apple Home Improvements has pledged its support for the ‘Ladies who ride…ride hard’ motorbike charity race, in aid of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Taking place on Saturday September 22, the south’s leading home improvements company has provided all of the high-vis jackets for the marshalls and stewards of this women-only, around the Isle of Wight race.
Jenny Shannahan-Creasey, sales and leads co-ordination manager for Apple Home Improvements, says: “The air ambulance is totally self-funded and can only keep going with help from the community and local businesses like Apple Home Improvements.”
A keen rider herself for more than 20 years, Jenny will be joining the ranks of women racing to raise money for this worthy cause.
Jenny explains: “I enjoy the power and freedom of riding my bike so I jumped at the chance to get involved to keep the charity going and possibly help save another biker’s life.”
The Air Ambulance helicopter is called out many times a day and these missions are often lifesaving, providing a quick response to road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses and other incidents throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
For those travelling from Southampton to East Cowes for the event, Red Funnel Ferries will be offering a 25 per cent reduction. Kicking off from East Cowes at 10.30am, the lady bikers will follow a pre-arranged route with three designated stops around the island for refreshments and donation collection. After the ride the Highdown Inn will be hosting a hog roast and entertainment for the weary but triumphant riders.
On Saturday June 30, the chairman of the Isle of Wight council, Cllr Susan Scoccia, officially opened the new Apple Home Improvements showroom.
With showrooms throughout the south, the company identified Newport as a prime retail site for its new Green Energy Centre.
Founded in 2000, Apple Home Improvements is continuing to grow, bringing 30 new jobs to the Island. Andy Downes, operations manager at Apple Home Improvements, says: “We are delighted to be branching out across the water to Newport and are looking forward to working together with the Island residents on their home improvements.
“From elegant conservatories to high-tech, energy saving solar panels, our new Green Energy Centre showcases contemporary and cost effective solutions to enhance the home.”
Cllr Susan Scoccia comments: “I was pleased to perform the official opening and to welcome, on behalf of Isle of Wight Council, a new business onto the High Street of our County Town. May I wish Apple Home Improvements every success.”
Located on the High Street, the showroom is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm and offers the full range of Apple Home Improvement products, including windows, doors, conservatories, solar energy, driveways, fascias, soffits and guttering.
The current ‘improve instead of move’ climate is helping to grow Apple Home Improvements’ product portfolio.
The Christchurch-based company is expanding its product offering of windows, doors, conservatories, roofing and solar energy to include a range of contemporary and classic driveway installations.
Andy Downes, operations manager, said: “After listening to our customers, we have decided to launch a new product in our home improvements portfolio; the installation of ‘Marshall’ driveways.
“We have introduced a wide range of modern and stylish driveways that will complement any home and enhance the appeal of any property.”
Customers can choose from a diverse selection of paving materials, colours and designs – from traditional block paving to elegant natural stone – to improve and add character to their homes.
For the environmentally conscious consumer, a Bioverse System driveway is the natural choice to improve a property. By taking carbon from the atmosphere, the product will become carbon neutral over its lifetime.
