Gillian and Richard Drewitt of Bournemouth building services firm The Drewitt Group attended the official opening of a new sports pavilion at Talbot Heath School on Thursday June 19.
Gillian Drewitt, a former pupil of Talbot Heath School and managing director of The Drewitt Group, cut a ribbon to mark the opening of the Vernon-Browne Pavilion. The firm have also sponsored a new annual prize for sporting endeavour at the school.
The pavilion was named after Miss Vernon-Browne, a former teacher at the school who continues to support its activities.
Gillian said: “I have many happy memories of attending Talbot Heath School and it’s my pleasure to continue to support the pupils and its activities. Miss Vernon-Browne was my PE teacher and has had a great influence on me.
The Drewitt Group, which was founded in 1877, combines Drewlec, Drewsons Décor and Drewsons Plumbing and Heating Services providing building maintenance, plumbing, heating and electrical services.
