Westlife star Shane Filan to shine at Night Air at the Piers

As the official commercial radio partner of the Bournemouth Air Festival, Wave 105 is excited to reveal Westlife star, Shane Filan, is the latest star confirmed for Night Air at the Piers, in association with Corona.

The Irish pop idol’s new single ‘Everything to me’ has already reached the number one spot on iTunes. Shane completes the line-up of top pop acts for Friday August 30, joining the starry ranks of popular man-band Blue, Ivor Novello nominated The Feeling, fiesty girl group Stooshe and X Factor graduates Diana Vickers and Lucy Spraggan.

The Saturday night line-up (August 31) boasts fellow Irish rockers Kodaline, Gabriella Cilmi and 80’s act Johnny Hates Jazz along with dynamic new girl band Neon Jungle. Two more artists are set to be announced by the Wave 105 team over the coming weeks, so watch this space!

While visiting the Wave 105 studios, Shane Filan said: “I am really happy so far with the songs I’ve got and the reaction I’ve got off of the fans has been so amazing, so supportive. I am definitely excited about it!”

Priced £7 each, tickets are now on sale via the BH Live website, with 6,500 tickets available for each night.

Keith Penny, Wave 105’s event director, said: “We have two incredible nights of top notch family friendly entertainment lined-up for Bournemouth to add to this year’s Air Festival programme. Combine the outstanding acts with a bigger stage and a new state-of-the-art sound system, and this really is the recipe for a weekend to remember! Tickets for last year’s event sold out fast, so be sure to purchase yours quickly to avoid missing out.”

Jon Weaver, Air Festival director, added: “The live music stage is a fantastic addition to an already award-winning Festival, and Wave 105 has put together another superb line-up this year.  We can’t wait to welcome them to Bournemouth and show why we are more than just an air show!”

With a number of shows being broadcast live from the UK’s largest aviation event on Bournemouth beach on Thursday August 29 until Saturday August 31, Wave 105 will be covering all of the action, news, travel and weather on air, online and streaming the thrilling air displays live through Wave TV at www.wave105.com.
