Cotswold-based clothing brand Weird Fish will open its 12th retail store on Thursday 7 May within York’s prime retail district of Stonegate, one of the most attractive and architecturally-varied streets in the city.

Situated adjacent to White Stuff and The Body Shop and in close proximity to The White Company, Whistles, Jigsaw and Joules, the new store was previously a jewellery shop and covers a ground floor sales area of approximately 800 square ft.

As one of the UK’s favourite lifestyle leisure brands, many Weird Fish stores are located in popular holiday destinations including Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and Bath. The opening of the York store will coincide with the start of the brand’s busy holiday retail season.

Weird Fish’s SS15 range comprises everything the brand is loved for, including its instantly recognisable Macaroni sweatshirt, in addition to fresh and colourful weekend wear such as harem pants, tea dresses and tunic tops.

John Stockton, managing director at Weird Fish, said: “We believe the York store will be a great addition to our portfolio of stores and stockists. While there are already Weird Fish shops in Lincolnshire, Castleford in West Yorkshire and Livingston in Scotland, we’re very excited to be expanding our reach in the north.”

The new store opens at 36 Stonegate, York on Thursday 7 May. For more information about Weird Fish, please visit www.weirdfish.co.uk or call 01242 539535.
