Clothing brand Weird Fish, has announced that its wholesale pre-sell for SS16 achieved a 22 per cent growth in order value on SS15.
Growth was achieved in all sectors, with particularly strong growth from independents, strength in national accounts and over 100 per cent growth in mainland Europe.
The news coincides with Weird Fish appearing on the shortlist for this year’s 25th Anniversary Drapers Awards, the winners of which will be announced in November.
The retail side of the business is also growing rapidly, with like-for-like store sales for the first nine months of the year 10.8 per cent ahead of last year, and ecommerce sales 26 per cent ahead. One new store and three new concessions have been opened in 2015.
Commenting on the figures, John Stockton, managing director, said “Our SS16 range represents a significant move-on, particularly in womenswear, and has been embraced by our stockists.”
He added, “Double-digit like-for-like retail growth underlines our broad appeal and we will enter 2016 with wind in our sails.”
