Wave 105’s commercial director, Jon Brooks, has signed up to participate in the Brighton Marathon which takes place on Sunday April 9, to raise money for Wave 105 Cash for Kids and Chestnut Tree House.
Jon Brooks said: “I competed in the Chichester triathlon last year, but this challenge is a different ball game! I’ve had to train more and even harder, running at least 30 miles per week. I’ve lost the feeling in two toes, lost half a toe nail and am having physio on my back.
“I’m raising money for Cash for Kids and Chestnut Tree House, a very special place that provides care for terminally ill children.”
Jon is appealing for people to financially support his endeavour by donating via his Everyday Hero page. Jon added: “anything you can give to support me will make a huge difference to some very sick children and their families. I’d also like to say a huge thanks to Checkatrade who has sponsored me with £500 to kick things off.”
