This Sunday (July 21) at Whiteley Shopping Centre, Wave 105 presenter Andy Jackson will attempt to cycle 100 miles on a static bike to raise money for his trek along the Great Wall of China.
Wave 105 Cash for Kids is calling for listeners to join Andy on his bike challenge and cycle alongside him from 10am until 4pm on two static bikes provided by the Solent Hotel.
Gloria Hill, charity manager of Wave 105 Cash for Kids, says: “We are encouraging people to come and support Andy this Sunday by cycling with him and making a donation to help children throughout the south who are financially, socially, emotionally or physically disadvantaged.”
Andy will be riding a road bike fixed to a turbo trainer, which has been donated by Velocity Bikes in Portsmouth. Once he has finished, the bike will be auctioned off through the Cash for Kids auction on October 10.
Andy, his colleague Suzy, along with some brave Wave 105 listeners, will leave for China on August 29 where they will spend ten days trekking along the Great Wall. To support Andy in his challenge call 01489 481082 or donate online at www.wave105.com/cashforkids quoting Andy’s Trek.
