The team from Wave 105 Cash for Kids is thrilled with the latest addition to its team… a pedal car! The mean machine has been donated to the charity by supporter, Lorraine Kitcher, and it will be raced in the Ringwood Pedal Car Grand Prix this coming Sunday July 13.

Every two years local businesses, organisations and charities dust off their pedal cars and get practicing for the Pedal Car Grand Prix event. This year, Wave 105’s afternoon presenter, Simon Clarke, will be the first to take to the driving seat with a team of the station’s listeners.

Wave 105 Cash for Kids is currently renovating the car, giving it a lease of new life in the Wave 105 brand colours.

Gloria Hill, Wave 105 Cash for Kids charity manager, said: “We are so excited to finally have our own pedal car! Every year we borrow one, but this time we’ve been told that we can keep this car for the next event. It’s thanks to the generosity of supporters like Lorraine that we can take part in events such as this one. It’s a great way for us to have a presence in the local area to raise the profile of our charity and the work that it does.”
