Wave 105 Cash for Kids is proud to announce its partnership with AFC Bournemouth’s Community Sports Trust. Through its partnership, Wave 105 Cash for Kids will work with the trust to plan a series of fundraising events throughout the year.
Formed in 2007, the AFC Bournemouth Community Trust delivers a series of sports workshops across Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to more than 2,400 children. As well as hosting these activities within the AFC Bournemouth grounds, trust representatives run programmes and soccer schools at other locations across the region. They also visit more than 30 different schools to host clubs.
Steve Cuss, head of the Community Sports Trust at AFC Bournemouth, said: “It has been a real privilege to work with Wave 105 Cash for Kids and we are really pleased to announce our partnership.
“We have seen first hand the good work they do in the community, including the Mission Christmas project which was supported by the players.
“We are looking forward working on more Cash for Kids initiatives in the future and helping it go from strength to strength.”
Wave 105’s charity manager, Gloria Hill, said: “We are thrilled to be working with the AFC Bournemouth Community Trust. We are currently planning a host of events with the team and have just agreed details for an exciting tournament, so watch this space for further details!
“As part of our partnership the trust has invited us to take some of our disadvantaged children to watch a couple of the Cherries matches and meet the players. There are certainly going to be some very excited and happy children when we tell them this news.”
