For the very first time, Wave 105 presenter Rick Jackson was bused in for the Christchurch Food and Wine Festival to broadcast his Saturday show live aboard the Hop On Inn.
Hundreds of festival-goers flocked to see Rick in Festival Market and sampled a cooling pint and homemade pasty on board the vintage, routemaster bus, which has been transformed into a mobile English inn.
Rick’s fellow Wave 105 presenter Mark Collins had the pleasure of introducing Dorset’s favourite celebrity chef Lesley Waters to officially open the festival.
Jon Brooks, commercial director of Wave 105, said “As the official Radio Partner of the festival, we are delighted that this year’s Christchurch Food and Wine Festival was a resounding success.
“It was our first year broadcasting live from the Hop On Inn and we enjoyed being able to report on all the festival activities first hand while sampling the great local food available at the event.”
