A ceremony held at the FJB’s Harbour Heights Hotel, marked the announcement of seven charities and causes to benefit from £21,000 raised by generous guests of the hotel group.
Throughout 2014, FJB raised these funds for Wave 105’s Cash for Kids by holding a series of events. Guests were also encouraged to add an optional extra £1 to their hotel bills.
The Cash for Kids team and FJB Group worked together to decide which grants the money should be awarded to in the Bournemouth and Poole area. The beneficiaries were announced this week at the event and include: Roundtable Wish Foundation, Montacute School, Asher Nardone’s disabled son, The Listening Ear, BCHA, Life Education Wessex, and Autism Wessex.
Design and marketing manager for the FJB Group, Daniel Taylor, said: “It was a pleasure for us to host this event for the chosen charities. We are thrilled to have raised these vital funds for Cash for Kids, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our extremely generous hotel guests and visitors.”
Wave 105’s charity manager, Gloria Hill, added: “We had a wonderful evening at The Harbour Heights hotel. Our chosen charities were unaware they would be receiving funds from us and FJB, so they were totally overwhelmed with the announcement. We would like to extend our thanks to the FJB Group and its customers for their continuous support, the money raised really will make a real difference. We look forward to working with FJB throughout 2015.”
