Weymouth-based family-run business the Waterside Holiday Group is pleased to announce its support for independent local charity the Weldmar Hospicecare throughout the 2018 summer season.

Operating at three locations in Weymouth, Waterside Holiday Park & Spa, Osmington Holiday Park and Chesil Vista Holiday Park, the Group will raise funds via collection boxes which will be based at prime locations at each of its three parks.  Donations made by holiday makers will then be matched by the Waterside Holiday Group at the end of the peak summer holiday period.

Weldmar Hospicecare is an independent charity that provides vital end of life care to people living in Dorset. It provides support in various ways including care in the comfort of patients’ own home with community nurses, via day services and at Joseph Weld Hospice in Dorchester.

Fiona Hansford, business development fundraiser at Weldmar Hospicecare, says: “We would like to thank the Waterside Holiday Group for its support.  All of Weldmar’s care is provided completely free of charge but as a charity, we need to raise more than £18,000 every single day to keep these services available for those who need us in the future.   With the support of businesses like the Waterside Holiday Group, we are able to continue funding this care throughout Dorset and most importantly adding life to patients last days.”

Allen Main, Waterside Holiday Group general manager, adds: “We are delighted to nominate Weldmar Hospicecare as our summer season charity.  We are dedicated to raising as many funds as possible for this worthy cause and look forward to working with the Weldmar Hospicecare team.”
