The Waterside Holiday Group is pleased to announce the launch of its new AFC Bournemouth Soccer School available to its holiday makers throughout the summer.

AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust is running eight soccer school sessions at the Waterside Holiday Park and Spa in Bowleaze Cove, Weymouth, during the summer holidays, which increases the list of on-park activities available to holiday makers. The sessions take place at the park’s 3G football pitch and all sessions are targeted at children of any ability and include a fun warm up, skill games, penalty competitions and small-sided matches.

The soccer school is part of AFC Bournemouth’s wider initiative which aims to get more young people involved in sport within the local area, reaching more than 4,000 children and families each week, encouraging self-esteem and personal development.

Phil Hanger, sports and leisure manager from Waterside Holiday Park commented: “We’re really thrilled to announce the partnership with AFC Bournemouth. Being able to offer training from such fantastic coaches is a real asset to us and we’re sure it’s something that our guests will be able to make the most of.”

Steve Cuss, head of community sports trust at AFC Bournemouth, added: “We are pleased to be expanding our soccer schools offer and look forward to working at Waterside and meeting the many children who will be visiting Weymouth on holiday.”

The exclusive AFCB Soccer School at Waterside Holiday Park and Spa takes place throughout the summer holidays on select dates. Aimed at girls and boys aged four to 14 years old, the sessions are split amongst different age groups and cost £10 per child per session.
