Poole telecommunications firm VoIP Unlimited is holding a charity pub quiz at Patrick’s restaurant in Ashley Cross to raise money for HeadSmart; a campaign launched by the company’s charity of the year The Brain Tumour Charity.
Taking place on Monday March 23, Steve Moody will kick off the general knowledge quiz at 7pm. Contestants will dine on fish and chips or vegetable curry while they tackle the trivia, which will comprise six rounds of questions including a picture and bonus round.
The company has pledged to raise at least £10,000 in funds by November 2015 in aid of the HeadSmart campaign, which aims to raise the awareness of brain tumour symptoms in children and young people.
Mark Pillow, managing director of VoIP Unlimited, said: “VoIP Unlimited is determined to help HeadSmart further reduce the diagnosis time for children with brain tumours. The quiz nights at Patrick’s are always popular, so we’re hoping for a good show of support at our event. Good luck to all the teams!”
Patrick Michael, owner of Patrick’s Restaurant, Bar and Event Catering, said: “As it is important to us to support local businesses and charities wherever possible, we are pleased to host VoIP Unlimited’s charity pub quiz. The team at Patrick’s are looking forward to working with the company to hopefully raise significant funds for the HeadSmart charity.”
Tickets for the quiz including food are priced at £10 per person.
