Ellie MacDonald of In The Bag is presented with Best Use of IT award by Mark Pillow of VoIP Unlimited
Poole-based VoIP Unlimited, a leading telecommunications provider, was proud to support the young business stars of tomorrow by sponsoring the Best Use of IT Award at the recent 2014 Enterprise Challenge Celebrations, organised by the Enterprise and Skills Company.
Mark Pillow from VoIP Unlimited presented the winning team, In The Bag, with their trophy during the awards ceremony which took place at The Bournemouth Central Premier Inn.
The team was made up of pupils representing Bournemouth School for Girls and Bournemouth School for Boys, and they demonstrated the best use of IT by implementing a website and social media feeds.
Mark said: “We were delighted to be involved with these Awards, which nurtures and inspires young people to be successful in their future careers.
“It was a great evening and all the students seemed to have really enjoyed the process and ‘confidence’ was high.”
The aim of the annual Enterprise Challenge Celebrations is to encourage entrepreneurial behaviour in young people across Dorset. The students are tasked with making and selling real products to real people to experience the challenges of running a small business from the boardroom to the frontline.
