Poole BID hosted its Annual Meeting at Lighthouse, Poole, on Thursday, February 28, to gather feedback and suggestions from its town centre levy payers, as well as discuss plans for 2019 and the remainder of its five-year term.

Presentations were given by the Poole BID manager and its chairman, Justin Hundley-Appleton and Adam Keen, to showcase what has been achieved from initiatives laid out in the business plan, which were agreed when the organisation officially commenced in July 2016.

Adam Keen, Poole BID chairman, stressed the need for positivity and made a request for all businesses to engage with the BID in a positive manner: “Feedback relating to what the BID does is vital so that we know what to do more of and less of in the future, but what Poole needs is more people to give feedback with associated solutions and better still, people who are willing to get involved and help our great town step up to current challenges.”

Levy payers also had the opportunity to take part in roundtable discussions with the board of 13 directors and share their experiences of trading in Poole.

Justin Hundley-Appleton, Poole BID manager, added: “Overall, the meeting was really positive and gave us plenty of food for thought to take into consideration for the remainder of the term. We were delighted to see some new faces at the meeting and there was a sense of real interest and positivity for our town and its future. It was great for our businesses to be able to sit down alongside our directors and have an open discussion about what was on their minds. We plan to circulate the notes of the meeting soon, including details of what we will be doing in response to suggestions made during the very useful meeting.”
