Professor Blast’s Learning Lab, billed as UK’s most unique learning experience for children, launches at family theme park, Paultons Park, in Hampshire.

Bringing science vividly to life with interactive activities and impressive theming, the new state-of-the-art learning lab will enable young minds to understand the physics behind some of the Park’s most exciting rides.

Boasting interactive workstations, the lab will be available for schools and uniformed groups, such as the Brownies and Cubs, to book an interactive lab session as part of their Paultons Park visit.

With the capacity to host 35 children and their leaders, Professor Blast’s hands-on Science Explorer workshop explores forces and energy transfers, allowing children to investigate the dynamics of park’s attractions before going on the rides to experience their physics in practice.

Alternatively, Professor Blast’s second new workshop; Ride Programming – Control IT offers a new understanding of how rides are technically programmed. The workshop is designed to develop IT skills and provides children the chance to programme their very own motorised Sky Swinger.

Paultons Park education officer, Andy Chapman, said: “Paultons Park is proud to be a ‘Learning Outside the Classroom’ quality badge holder, so we are delighted to be able to offer this unique learning experience to groups of children visiting the park.”

He added: “The theming and interactive elements are really impressive, but what makes the lab such an exciting ‘edu-tainment’ experience is that children will be able to learn all about the science behind our rides before going into the park to apply their learning. It’s very unique and feedback so far has been incredibly positive.”

Paultons Park was named UK number one in the Traveller’s Choice top ten amusement parks and water parks by TripAdvisor in 2013 and is host to more than 60 additional wonderful rides and attractions, including the world’s first and UK exclusive Peppa Pig World, Cobra – Paultons’ biggest rollercoaster, Magma, the Raging River Ride and a 4D cinema.
