Tower Park-based dealership Breeze Volkswagen has appointed a dedicated tyre technician at its passenger car facility.
Tim Angliss joins the team with more than eight years’ management experience in both tyre fitting and wheel alignment.
Amanda Taylor, after sales manager at Breeze Volkswagen, said: “It is important to regularly check your tyres for the correct pressure, tread wear and general condition to maintain safety and ensure a comfortable and efficient drive.
“Many people don’t know what to look for and how important tyre safety is so, at Breeze, we’re offering drive-in tyre checks. Just come along to the showroom where Tim will be able to do a quick check and advise if you are travelling safely.”
Breeze also offer a full geometry check and provide minor adjustments using Volkswagen approved state of the art equipment to measure front and rear track, camber, castor and KPI angles. This process costs just £77 and must be booked in advance, taking approximately two hours.
Amanda added: “It may seem like an unnecessary expense but the wrong settings can drastically reduce the lifespan of your tyres and result in an unpleasant driving experience. We recommend geometry testing every two years or in the unfortunate event of encountering a pot hole or a kerb and when completing a tyre change.”
