Coming from a journalist background, I was keen to see what it was like on the other side of the press release. Coming into this placement with no previous experience in PR though, I was unsure of what to expect. I was immediately made to feel welcome, and was eased into the work by reading the papers and getting used to thinking about the different clients. There was a high level of organisation throughout, and I constantly had something to do.

I was very impressed with the amount that I was trusted with, important work that I could get stuck into and I feel like I’ve really contributed. I feel proud to have written an article to be featured in HOUSE magazine, and have completed a feature on Nuffield Health. I have done research into bloggers for use in events, and uploaded press releases.  I was also privileged enough to go along to the Digipigz launch event, and have really felt part of the team throughout the week.

The team at LLPR have been amazing, always checking in to see if I’m ok, always approachable and making sure that I have tasks. It is also thanks to LLPR that I have realised that PR is something that I want to pursue. Thanks Liz, Holly, Alice, Cat, Emily, Caitlin, Denise, Shona, Leila, Katie and Carol for a brilliant week!
