Wave 105’s charity Cash for Kids is appealing for volunteers to turn up the heat by taking part in a fundraising firewalk.

To be held outside the station in Fareham on Sunday March 22, the intrepid event will see many brave volunteers walk over hot coals to raise funds for Cash for Kids.

Full briefing, equipment and assistance will be provided by UK Firewalk. Interested firewalkers can sign up today with a non-refundable £50 deposit and start fundraising for £100 minimum per participant.

Gloria Hill, Wave 105 Cash for Kids charity manager, said: “We were looking for an unusual challenge that we haven’t done before when we stumbled across firewalking and thought let’s do it!

Wave 105 presenter, Simon Clarke, added: “Gary Parker and I are looking forward to leading our fellow fundraising firewalkers across the coals this weekend.  Admittedly, some of us are a little nervous but it’s for a very worthwhile cause.

“If you think you can handle the heat sign up to join us for a truly unique experience.”
