Superior, a leading manufacturer based in Dorset, is sponsoring Queen Elizabeth School’s ACE Festival on Thursday June 30 and Friday July 1.
The ACE Festival is an annual event taking place at Queen Elizabeth’s School in Wimborne, spread over two days. The festival celebrates the achievements of pupils and staff with conventional sport activities, charity fundraising, music performances and a challenging event known as the ‘QEube.’
Last year’s inaugural ACE Festival witnessed over 900 students, 150 members of staff, 18 local and national charities and 7 local businesses taking part in the festivities. This year looks set to be even bigger with Superior providing sponsorship and prizes for the competition events.
Superior continues to strengthen its links with education by entering into a partnership with Queen Elizabeth’s School. This new partnership will see both parties work together on a range of initiatives, including Apprentice Live events and Economic Development events hosted by the East Dorset and Christchurch District Council.
Ben Clarke, quality manager and apprenticeship ambassador at Superior, said: “Our partnership with Queen Elizabeth’s School is something we’re really proud of. We see this as a long-term relationship to improve the quality of work-ready students prepared to take the next step in their career.”
Martin McLeman, head teacher at Queen Elizabeth’s School, said: “This partnership signals a real commitment from both parties to improve links between education and business. We’re delighted to be working with award-winning Superior.”
