Wave 105 Cash for Kids is appealing to listeners from across the region to fundraise for its annual Superhero Day on Thursday May 11, in aid of Naomi House Children’s Hospice.
Every year businesses, organisations and individuals participate in Wave 105 Cash for Kids Superhero Day by wearing capes, tights and masks and coming up with imaginative ways of raising money for disadvantaged children. Events held in the past include a Batman bake-off and a superhero sweepstake.
Cash for Kids raises money for disadvantaged children and this year’s chosen charity is Naomi House Children’s Hospice. The money raised during Superhero Day will improve Naomi House’s hydrotherapy suite, giving children with life limiting and life threatening conditions access to the pool.
Samantha Burdekin, Cash for Kids’ charity manager said: “To spend time in the water with our families is something many of us take for granted but for some of these children it may be their first opportunity to experience this.
“Superhero Day is a fun way for companies to get involved and raise money for a fantastic charity. The Wave 105 presenters always join forces to encourage listeners to participate and donate by calling the studio on Thursday May 11, texting or visiting our website.”
Wave 105 urges people to register their interest in fundraising in the lead-up to Superhero Day by visiting its website.
