In its seventh year, the Wave 105 Cash for Kids team raised a staggering £23,769 at their annual auction.
All the money raised will help to support disadvantaged children across the south.
The auction took place October 20, live on air, where listeners had the opportunity to bid online on a large selection of money can’t buy prizes. This year’s auction was jam-packed with prizes, including:
- BMI flight from Southampton to Munich
- No Man’s Fort Stay
- A skydive from Go Skydive
- Signed Busted disc
- Two night Madrid escape and tour of Real Madrid
Amongst many others, these extraordinary prizes were available to peruse on the Wave 105 website a week before the auction kicked off.
Mari-Louise White, Wave 105 Cash for Kids charity manager, said: “This year we received a huge variety of prizes and thanks to our listeners generous bidding, a phenomenal amount of money was raised for Cash for Kids.
“Wave 105 Cash for Kids provides grants to individuals and charities across the south coast, which ensures the needs of disadvantaged children, are met. We are thrilled with the amount raised, this will go a long way in supporting local children.”
Cash for Kids are dedicated to encouraging the general wellbeing of children and adolescents as well as supporting children under the age of 18, who are disadvantaged financially, socially, emotionally or physically. There is a firm belief throughout the charity that no child should go without their basic needs being met.
