Internationally-renowned Pukka Pads enlisted the help of Dorset school children to create its new range of activity pads – Pukka Fun.

The Poole-based company set out to include a new brand to its range of notepads that include activities for children as young as three, a market the business has not previously catered for.

For research, Pukka teamed up with 90 year four students, aged eight to nine, from Hamworthy Middle School.

The workshop focused on the design of the logo, product ideas and the characters in the colouring books.

Pukka Pads’ Managing Director and Owner, Chris Stott, said: “Working with the children fromHamworthy Middle School has been invaluable. Their imagination and creativity has allowed us to produce a new brand that has vibrant pages, loveable characters and a variety of activities that will keep children interested, motivated and aid them in their learning.”

Teacher, Celestria Duerdoth, said: “The children loved being involved with the project and the work they produced was of a high quality. Working with Pukka’s design team has been a fantastic experience for them.”

The Pukka Fun range can be bought from John Lewis and The Wholesale Stationery Company.
