A 15 tonne sand castle is to be sculptured in the Dolphin Centre from Saturday August 4.
It will take two days to sculpt and distinguished sand artists who will be constructing it, Paul Hoggard and Remy Geerts, will also carry out a sand sculpture workshop for children visiting the centre.
Once completed, the sand sculpture will stay in the centre for a further three weeks for visitors to view.
John Grinnell, Dolphin Centre manager, said: “With our close proximity to the sea it seemed fitting to invite renowned sand artists to the centre to craft a 15 tonne sculpture in front of the eyes of shoppers.
“The sand art workshop will offer children the opportunity to get involved, there will also be prizes for the best sandcastles.”
