Dorset and Somerset solicitors’ firm Humphries Kirk sponsored the Purbeck Young Farmers’ Club in its annual hedge laying competition at Manor Farm, East Stoke.
The competition, which gives members of the club an opportunity to learn the traditional countryside skill, is an important event in the club’s calendar. The Purbeck Young Farmers’ Club aims to provide young people living in rural areas with life skills, a sense of achievement and the chance to be an active partner in the community.
Simon Cross, partner at Humphries Kirk solicitors which donated £100 to the event, said: “Giving young people the chance to get involved in community activities is very worthwhile so we were delighted to sponsor this traditional competition.”
