Employees at Dorset and Somerset solicitors firm Humphries Kirk donated hundreds of food items to the Bournemouth and Poole Foodbank in a fundraising drive.
Humphries Kirk staff in Parkstone, Poole and Southbourne rallied fellow employees and neighbouring businesses to collect five large boxes of non-perishable in-date food items to be shared equally between the Bournemouth and Poole foodbanks.
Foodbanks across the UK support almost half million people in crisis by providing emergency food and support to those in need.
Michelle Dixon, solicitor at Humphries Kirk, comments: “I was surprised to learn that there was a desperate need for donations in the Poole and Bournemouth Foodbanks. As a local person, and a solicitor at Humphries Kirk, a firm which actively supports local community groups and charities, it made sense to participate in this year-long initiative in conjunction with the Bournemouth Junior Lawyers Division.
“I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of my fellow employees and also businesses nearby to our offices. I was able to personally deliver our donations to the foodbanks and they were extremely grateful to everyone who got involved” she said.
Humphries Kirk provides legal expertise to private and commercial clients, with offices in Crewkerne, Dorchester, Parkstone, Poole, Southbourne, Swanage and Wareham. The firm also has consulting rooms in Yeovil, Wimborne and London.
