Buckholme Towers School in Lower Parkstone has opened its doors to Shining Bright Like a Star singing and acting classes aimed at children aged four and over.

Open to all Dorset youngsters, classes take place after school hours during term time. Budding stars have the opportunity to learn the basics about singing and acting to culminate in a final showcase.

Maria Marra, managing director at Shining Bright Like a Star, said: “The first class I held at Buckholme was brilliant, we had a mixture of pupils and local children and they are already showing signs of great talent. The children learn plenty of techniques involved when performing and they have great fun too. We believe in smaller classes with a maximum of 15 people to ensure we can give more attention to each student.”

Iain Robertson, headmaster at Buckholme Towers School, said: “This type of class can boost the confidence in children and aid their social development by interacting with like-minded people.”

Shining Bright Like a Star supports Dorset charity Camp Amazing. For further information on the class timetable visit www.shiningbrightlikeastar.com or call Maria on 07734429445.
