Local businesses are being encouraged to set sail in the Solent on October 2 for the Wave 105 Cash for Kids’ sailing day to raise money for disadvantaged children across the south.
Wave 105 Cash for Kids have teamed up with Sunsail Events to offer fundraisers the unique opportunity to race on a Sunsail Match First 40 yacht.
Wet weather gear will be provided and no previous experience is necessary as a professional crew of a skipper and a first mate will be on hand to guide the competitors to the finishing line.
Wave 105 Cash for Kids charity manager, Gloria Hill, said: “We are excited to offer local businesses this exceptional opportunity to race across the Solent in a stunning Sunsail yacht while raising funds for a worthy cause.”
The day will begin with breakfast at the Port House where sailors can enjoy the views on the Port Solent Marina. This will be followed by lunch on board and a prize giving ceremony with afternoon tea.
Gloria added: “Not only are we at Wave 105 Cash for Kids committed to supporting local children who are financially, socially, emotionally and physically disadvantaged but we actively encourage a healthier lifestyle and the wellbeing of these children across the south. So we are encouraging local businesses to find their sea legs to help support children who really need it.”
Take part as an individual for £150 per person or gather together a team of up to 10 people and take a whole boat for £1500 plus VAT which includes a donation of £500 to Wave 105 Cash for Kids.
