Three local charities are calling all disappointed runners, who missed out on the Cancer Research 10k in June, to race for life in the Hospice 10k on 21st October 2012.

Friends of Forest Holme, Lewis-Manning Hospice and Julia’s House are joining forces to raise funds through the run to help care for children and adults living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

Starting from Bournemouth Pier, the run is suitable for all abilities.

Forest Holme charity manager, Diane Platt, says: “Hospice care plays a vital role within the local community. Between our three hospices, we ensure that everybody living locally with a life-limiting condition, has free specialist care available to them when they need it.

“So get your running shoes at the ready and register to support your local hospices and make a difference to those who need them.”

With the choice of a 10K, 5K or Kids K, the Hospice events are fun for all ages and fitness levels. To enter online, please go to www.hospiceevents.org
