Last week, Sandbanks welcomed the arrival of a certain celebrity guest.
X Factor star and double platinum artist Olly Murs and his band mates descended on the FJB Watersports Academy. The Academy is owned by our client The FJB Hotels Group, so LLPR was of course on hand to manage the day’s photography and press.
Olly was in Bournemouth as part of his UK tour and being followed by ITV2 cameras for a new television series. The programme, due to be broadcast in April, documents his tour and also sees Olly taking part in various challenges and activities along the route.
With the Academy located next to the sea, there was only one challenge appropriate for Olly and his band mates – kayaking!
Dressed head to toe in appropriate waterproofs, Olly took to Poole Harbour like a duck to water, although more like a heron wading in the shallows as Olly sadly can’t swim. He did however successfully paddle his way around the bay, (with a look of terror on his face), watched not only by us and the ITV2 crew, but by countless screaming fans with homemade banners!
It was a great day, and not only fantastic exposure for the FJB Watersports Academy, but our very own LisaB had cheeky photo with the Essex heartthrob!
