Sainsbury’s in Hedge End has appointed Wave 105 Cash for Kids as its charity of the year.

Sainsbury’s has been supporting the charity, which supports underprivileged children in the south, for the past two years by backing the toy and Easter egg appeals. However, by being the retailer’s charity of the year signifies that Wave 105 Cash for Kids will receive the money collected from all the fundraising events carried out in-store.

Stuart King, store manager of Sainsbury’s in Hedge End, said: “We are delighted to make Wave 105 Cash for Kids our selected charity as we have seen first-hand the work that it does in the south how it changes the lives of the families it helps.”

Gloria Hill, Wave 105 Cash for Kids charity manager, added: “Sainsbury’s in Hedge End has been a great supporter of the charity for the past two years and without its help with the toy and Easter egg appeals we would not have achieved such fantastic results.

“Sainsbury’s support will be hugely beneficial for Wave 105 Cash for Kids and we are really grateful at being chosen.”
