Residents at Grove Place Retirement Village, Nursling, were treated to a theatrical performance from students, age seven to 11, at Hampshire Collegiate Prep School.

The Prep School, which recently received high drama results, took along selected speakers to share their talent with the local residential home.

The co-educational independent school is well known for its dynamic extra-curricular activities and offers its pupils annual London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) exams. LAMDA is the oldest drama school in the UK and provides private schools with comprehensive speech examinations.

Sophie Gordon, head of drama at Hampshire Collegiate Prep School, said: “The residents really enjoyed the children’s performance and their confidence and natural ability in engaging with the audience.”
