Wave 105’s charity Cash for Kids is asking local organisations to nominate their premises to become a public drop off point, as a place to collect gifts donated to the Mission Christmas appeal this year.

Wave 105 Cash for Kids Mission Christmas officially starts on Monday November 14, but as of Wednesday November 9, local businesses have the opportunity to register their address as a location for people to take gifts they wish to donate to disadvantaged children from along the south coast.

There are a staggering 88,635 children in the region living in poverty. Christmas can be a difficult time for the families of these children but with help from Cash for Kids, through the Mission Christmas appeal, these children have the opportunity to open gifts on Christmas morning. In 2015 Cash for Kids collected 78,382 that were distributed to poverty-stricken, local children.

Wave 105 Cash for Kids is encouraging people to support Mission Christmas by creating a local drop off points for people to visit easily, or by buying an extra gift this year to donate, or to fundraise in whichever way they choose. A free fundraising pack is available on request.
