The Bournemouth & Poole College’s November Open Event which is due to take on Tuesday November 15 will feature over 22 local employers who will give visitors the chance to get a unique opportunity to get careers advice from experts in their field.
The Open Event will feature several Apprenticeship Zones, each dedicated to a different industry and featuring live Apprenticeship vacancies. Companies confirmed at North Road, Poole include Aish Technologies, Magellan Aerospace, Mitie Property Services, I O Electronics, The RNLI, Marden Edwards, Beritaz Care, Walker AEC, Bristol Maid, Superior Ltd, WG Jones, Happy Days Nurseries, Cobham Plc, South West Shared Apprenticeship Company, Eleanor Care, Norco, Lymington Precision Engineering, Bournemouth People First and Sunseeker International. At Lansdowne, Bournemouth employers include Dorset Healthcare – NHS, Appello and the college’s own salon, Flaunt Hair & Beauty.
As well as meeting employers visitors will be given an exclusive look at some of the college’s £28M new facilities, including an upgrade of the Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing facilities at North Road and a £2 million internal and external refurbishment at Lansdowne.
The college offers courses for all ages so is ideal for anyone looking for careers advice, whether they’re leaving school, wanting to learn a new skill or looking for a career change.
