Nearly a thousand eager fans queued at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, on Saturday, for the chance to meet Katie Price.

The glamour model and businesswoman signed copies of her new book, In the Name of Love, in association with W H Smiths. She brought two of her children, Junior and Princess, to support her.

John Grinnell, manager of the Dolphin Shopping Centre, said: “We anticipated a good turnout for the Katie Price book signing, but were amazed to see just how many turned up for the chance to meet her. We opened the doors of the centre at 6.30am and people began queuing then.

“Footfall was up by 3,500 which was great for businesses trading in the Dolphin Shopping Centre.”

W H Smith store manager, Ema Cornwell, added: “Katie Price’s novels have always been good sellers in the Poole store so we knew that her visit would be well attended. We sold more than 200 copies of In the Name of Love on Saturday, which cleared out our entire stock.”
