Paloma Faith has already had a great start to 2014 with the release of her new hit single ‘Can’t Rely on You’, which was produced by Pharrell Williams. Now the platinum-selling artist has announced she is set to return Wave 105 Live! 2014.
Paloma was just one of the many artists to perform to a sell-out audience at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) last year, now she will take centre stage again on Saturday May 31.
80’s pop funk band Level 42 will also star. With a career spanning 30 years that has included highs of more than 30 million albums sold worldwide and a sold out 21-night stint at Wembley arena, they are one of the most successful and enduring bands to come out of the 80’s.
Also starring will be global media star and one of the most famous faces in the entertainment world, Peter Andre. With 15 top 20 hits and three number one singles in the UK, Peter will be a special guest host on the evening joining Wave presenters Steve Power, Mark Collins and Rick Jackson.
The treble bill announcement follows the news that chart-topping songstress, Pixie Lott will also join the line-up. More top acts are to be confirmed over the next couple of weeks.
Wave 105 Live! is a live music event produced and hosted by the popular regional radio station and is back for the fourth year running, with the previous three shows selling out.
Keith Penny, events director of Wave 105 said: “Wave 105 Live! is all about bringing the south’s best variety of hits to the stage. We’re a family orientated station and so we like to provide acts for all members of the family in this show. We think these three announcements sum that up perfectly. It’s a real coup to be able to confirm Peter Andre as a guest host. He’s a hugely popular character and a co-host slot lends a fun new dimension to our show.
“Mark King’s thunderous bass and their raft of hits will ensure Level 42 is a real treat for lovers of quality music!
“Paloma is back for the second year running after she personally asked her management to arrange it for her, which we were delighted to hear. She had a great time last year and the crowd loved her stunning performance, so we can’t wait to see what she will have in store for us this time around. With even more Wave 105 play listed acts to be announced, we know that our listeners across the south will love this year’s Wave 105 Live!”
