Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital’s latest complimentary learning event, Advances in Coronary Care, aimed at GPs, will take place at Wednesday November 16 at the Cumberland Hotel in Bournemouth.

The Advances in Coronary Care event will commence at 6.45PM with registration, followed by dinner and refreshments. After dinner, presentations from top cardiologist consultants, Dr Johannes Radvan and Dr Suneel Talwar will take place.

Dr Johannes Radvan, consultant cardiologist will be discussing cardiac imaging in 2016, and Dr Suneel Talwar, consultant cardiologist, will talk about coronary angioplasty and stenting, delving into the historical development, current status and future directions. GPs will also have the opportunity to network with each other as well as with the Nuffield Health Cardiac team.

The hospital’s GP learning programme has been running successful complimentary events for a number of years and is increasing in popularity amongst healthcare professionals. Expert consultants provide a valuable education on a number of topics and are available to answer questions within an open forum discussion.

Nuffield Health Bournemouth Heart Clinic has a dedicated cardiology service, which can assess and treat cardiovascular disease. GPs can refer patients to the Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital by contacting the customer service team.

Primary Care Manager at Nuffield Health Bournemouth, Shirley Ewart, said: “The advances in our cardiology services have enabled us to offer educational lectures surrounding the new technology available, and successfully being used on our patients.

“By working closely with GPs we hope to create an educational environment where they’ll have the opportunity to engage with top Consultants across many topics.”

Booking is essential and attendees will receive a CPD certificate at the end of the evening. To book a place at the event contact Nuffield Health’s Primary Care Manager, Shirley Ewart at or on  01202 375032.
