A free, educational open event about approaching cosmetic surgery will be held at Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital on Tuesday June 3 at 12noon.

On the day, the not-for-profit independent hospital based on Lansdowne Road will be offering a presentation by experienced cosmetic surgeon Mr Whitworth, as well as an informal question and answers session. There will also be opportunities to book a free one-to-one confidential chat with Mr Whitworth at a later date.

Mr Whitworth’s presentation will include guidance on how to find a credible plastic surgeon with suitable experience, how to investigate care procedures before, during and after surgery, and which operations are appropriate for the needs of different individuals.

David McNair, hospital director at Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital, said: “Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital has more than 50 years’ experience looking after cosmetic surgery patients, so we know how essential it is to know what questions to ask before committing to surgery.

“For example, it is crucial to know what care you will receive before, during and after surgery because aftercare in particular is not offered at every establishment as a matter of course like it is at Nuffield.”

He added: “It is also important to find out what results you can expect from having a cosmetic procedure and who will be performing it with what experience. We will be offering guidance on all this and much more in our free educational open event.”

The open event and any consequent one-to-one sessions with Mr Whitworth are free but spaces are limited, so booking is essential to avoid disappointment. To find out more or to guarantee a place, please call the Nuffield Health customer services team on 01202 702830.
