Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital has appointed Shirley Ewart to the newly created role of primary care manager.

Having previously worked for the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 10 years, Shirley brings with her a wealth of stakeholder engagement, marketing and event management experience to the position.

The key objective of her new role is to support the implementation of the Nuffield Group strategy through marketing and business development. By building relationships with practice managers, GPs and consultants across the region, Shirley is aiming to develop the business and further cement partnerships within the medical sector.

Commenting on her new position, Shirley says: “I was attracted to the role as it encompasses a wide range of different projects within an interesting and diverse sector. Nuffield Health is making a huge investment into the Lansdowne hospital and I’m looking forward to developing its partnerships across Dorset and beyond to strengthen its position as the leading hospital in the area.”

Drawing on her vast experience, including the hugely popular Dorset Business Awards, Shirley will also be helping to deliver educational events and lunch and learn meetings for the GP and the ophthalmic business community to aid with their personal development.
