Tapper Funeral Service has purchased a luxury campervan as an incentive for its staff and their families to use for holidays.
The Fiat Essacarr e495, six-berth motorhome, has already been used by a number of the Tapper team this summer.
Richard Meader, driver and embalmer for Tapper’s Christchurch office, was the first to take the motorhome away for his family holiday to Burnham-on-Sea in North Somerset with his wife and two young boys.
Richard said: “It’s a home from home; the whole family really enjoyed it. On the evenings we didn’t go out my wife rustled up a chilli, spaghetti bolognaise and even a roast chicken.
“It’s a great perk to the job; I can’t imagine many companies providing a holiday vehicle for staff, especially a funeral company. There has been lots of positive interest with the team already queuing up to book it out for their holidays next year. I have already booked again to take it to Cornwall in the October half-term.”
Steven Tapper, joint managing director at Tapper Funeral Service, said: “With the difficult economic climate, families are struggling to justify the luxury of going abroad. We thought this would be an innovative way to reward our staff and their families for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.”
