Wave 105, the official commercial radio partner of the Bournemouth Air Festival, is excited to announce acoustic guitar virtuoso Newton Faulkner as the latest act to be confirmed for Night Air at the Piers, in association with Corona.
The multi-platinum selling artist is set to release his new album ‘Studio Zoo’ (on Monday August 26) ahead of his appearance at Night Air at the Piers on Saturday August 31. His appearance comes hot on the heels of his appearance on the main stage at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival.
Newton joins the impressive line-up of stars on the Saturday night, which includes Irish rockers Kodaline, Gabriella Cilmi, new girl band Neon Jungle and 80s pop icons Johnny Hates Jazz.
The Friday night line-up (August 30) is equally impressive, with performances set from ‘Man-band’ Blue, The Feeling, Stooshe, Lucy Spraggen, Diana Vickers and Westlife Star Shane Filan.
Tickets are on sale via the BH Live website, priced at £7, with limited numbers left for each night. Gates open at Boscombe Pier each day at 6pm, with the show running until 10pm (approx. times).
Andy Shier, Wave 105’s Programme Director said: “We are thrilled at the latest act to be confirmed for Night Air at the Piers. Newton Faulkner is back by popular demand following his amazing performance at the 2012 show.
“There are two incredible nights of live music and family friendly entertainment lined-up to add to this year’s Air Festival. This, combined with a bigger stage and a new state-of-the-art sound system, will ensure a weekend to remember. We still have two more acts to be announced for the Saturday night, so watch this space!”
