Buckholme Towers School and Nursery in Lower Parkstone, Poole, has appointed Judy Hook to the new role of deputy head to further strengthen its management team at the independent preparatory school.

With experience in both state and private education, Judy has worked at Buckholme for seven years in various roles including Head of Senior School, a teacher and Head of Girl’s Games. Her new role will see her continue teaching as well as focusing on the school’s overall development and assisting the headmaster with management.

Judy, who has lived in Bournemouth since 1986, said: “As a dedicated educationalist, my new position enables me to continue as a teacher but with the added responsibility for maintaining the high standards of achievement throughout the school. I will also be heavily involved in tracking children’s progress from nursery throughout their education, until they move onto grammar or secondary education.”
