Samantha Burdekin, Cash for Kids charity manager said: “I have been a Wave 105 listener from day one and was part of last year’s Mission Christmas appeal in Bournemouth and loved it. This is my dream job and as such, I will do my best alongside the fantastic team, to help to support disadvantaged children in the south who deserve a life that is as happy and fulfilled as possible.”

Wave 105’s managing director, Martin Ball said: “We’re very happy Samantha joined us after working so closely with her during Mission Christmas. She has hit the ground running and we’re looking forward to what 2017 has in store.”

The money raised by Cash for Kids is given in the form of grants to charities located along the south coast that support disadvantaged children. Applications for grants can be made on Wave 105’s website: http://www.wave105.com/charity/grant-application/.
