Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital is delighted to have recently appointed two key members of staff to the team.

Louise Dennington has taken over the role of Matron, a fundamental role within Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital senior management team. Louise was previously the Senior Nurse Manager of Surgical Directorates at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust and has 28 years’ experience in the NHS. As Matron, Louise will oversee patient care and all nursing staff.

Louise Dennington, Matron said: “A Matron’s key responsibility is to ensure that the patient experience is of the highest quality and for Nuffield Health patient care is of the heart of everything we do. I look forward to supporting all staff in ensuring that this happens.”

Due to Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital’s planned expansion of its children and young persons (CYP) services, Linda Forsyth has also recently been appointed as Lead Nurse of CYP services.

Linda Forsyth has worked in paediatrics for more than 20 years and was previously working for Dorset HealthCare University Foundation Trust as a Paediatrics Anaesthetic and Recovery team Manager for the special care dental service.

Linda Forsyth, Lead Nurse said: “There are several exciting opportunities for paediatric nurses to join Nuffield Health as part of the planned expansion of its children and young people services. I am thrilled with my new position within CYP services and am looking forward to welcoming and working with many new starters over the coming months.”

Nuffield’s CYP service has a team of dedicated staff who accompany children through their hospital journey which is offered to children aged three to 16. Nuffield Health is currently recruiting within this department.
