Professional mountain-biker in training, Ben Moore made it his mission to complete the impossible; riding the challenging urban landscapes of Poole’s Dolphin Shopping Centre after dark.

Ben navigated his way through darkened hallways, down corridors and over flights of stairs, as part of his training ahead of a race in Mexico for the Urban Downhill World Championship Final. Ben commented: “The floor surface of the centre presented the biggest issue as it was brand new to me and something I had never ridden on before. The best way of describing it was like riding on ice. Once I found the grip point, it made for a great shoot as I could literally ‘drift’ every corner!”

The aspiring rider, who has broken over 14 bones during the course of his training and currently works at the Dolphin Centre’s dedicated bike shop, Cycle Paths, added: “It was a very unique experience that was made possible by the management team of the shopping centre. I am thankful to them for helping me train for such an important event.”

John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, added: “It was a pleasure to be able to help Ben with his training. The Dolphin Centre is thrilled to be a part of the video, which has now gone viral. We always welcome exciting and interesting new concepts and ideas.”
