Snows Motor Group raised the bar last year, by taking part in the ultimate challenge to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, raising £16,500 for Wave 105 Cash for Kids.

Snows Motor Group and Wave 105 Cash for Kids have selected five south coast-based charities to donate the money raised via the expedition. One charity on the list is Motiv8 South which received £2,500.

Motiv8 South is a community-based charity supporting vulnerable young people in the local area. It is through the kind help and support of local businesses that the charity can continue to offer life changing opportunities to those who are most vulnerable in the community.

Charlie Adie, Motiv8 South chief executive, said:  “The donation from Wave 105 Cash for Kids is a much welcomed boost to the charity at a time when funding is a challenge. The kind donation will fund one-to-one mentoring support for a vulnerable young person in the Portsmouth area and will allow this support to be offered for a full year.”

Stephen Snow, Snows Motor Group chairman, said:  “We are delighted to be helping Motiv8 with the donation through Wave 105′s Cash for Kids. Motiv8 provides essential help and guidance to young people across our region. It makes the hard work of the Kilimanjaro expedition even more worthwhile.”
