New restaurants are opening at both the Waterside Holiday Park and Spa and Chesil Vista Holiday Park this season following £1 million investment into The Waterside Holiday Group’s food proposition.
The Waterside Holiday Park and Spa is opening the Southside Bar and Grill in April, and Chesil Vista’s Breeze Bar and Grill is open now.
The Group worked alongside consultant and chef Lisa Valenti to review its existing food offering and restaurant experience to develop a refreshed concept, including an updated look and feel for the décor and atmosphere of the eateries.
These two improved restaurants have also created 10 new positions across the parks, in both permanent and seasonal roles.
Allen Main, general manager at The Waterside Holiday Group, commented: “The new restaurant at Chesil Vista is now open and everyone’s feedback so far has been so positive, we’ll be opening the updated Waterside restaurant in time for Easter.
“Working with Lisa to update the menu alongside the other investments and improvements that were made during our winter season has really helped us to further strengthen our offering to holidaymakers and owners alike, giving them a quality dining experience that differs from most holiday parks.”
A new and improved menu at the two restaurants will follow a local theme with the Group creating partnerships with local suppliers to ensure fresh produce is sourced from the Jurassic Coast including Dorset Rock Oysters, Blue Vinny and Dorset Red cheeses, and Portland crab. Both parks will also offer a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes.
The Waterside Holiday Group has also invested a further £1million on solar panels, electric car charging, improved recycling facilities, a new gym and WiFi infrastructure at Osmington Holiday Park, a new arcade at Chesil Vista, and new holiday home sales offices as well as improved back of house systems.
